Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time; however, I offer equitable pricing to make mental health treatment more accessible for those who may not be able to afford my standard rate. Please feel free to email me for specific pricing details.

What can I expect during our first appointment?
In your first therapy appointment, I will introduce myself and explain my approach to therapy. I'll ask about your reasons for seeking therapy, your history, and any specific issues you're hoping to address. This is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions about my experience, methods, and what to expect from the therapy process. The session will be focused on building rapport and gathering information so I can better understand your needs and tailor your treatment moving forward. I want you to feel comfortable and open, but there's no pressure to dive into deep issues right away.

Do you offer in-person appointments?
Currently I only offer telehealth appointments. Telehealth counseling allows individuals to receive mental health services remotely via secure video conferencing.

What are the benefits of telehealth counseling?
-
Convenience – Access therapy from the comfort of your home, eliminating travel time.
-
Accessibility – Ideal for individuals in rural areas or those with mobility challenges.
-
Privacy – Sessions take place in a private setting of your choice.
-
Continuity of Care – Easier to maintain consistent therapy, even when traveling.

Is telehealth counseling as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes! Research shows that telehealth is equally effective for many mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I understand that telehealth may not be the right fit for everyone. If you prefer in-person sessions, please let me know and I can offer referrals.
Is telehealth counseling secure and confidential?
Yes. I use a HIPAA-compliant platform (Simple Practice) to protect your privacy.
What do I need for a telehealth session?
A stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with a camera and microphone.
